Hello and thank you for visiting our site. My name is Captain Kipp Harrison and I myself am a fellow boater, so I know the struggles of getting someone in the marine industry to do the job right the first time! My wife (Angela), and our 2 grown young men (Cody & Jack), have navigated the currents of many rivers. We have boated and swam in some of the greatest bodies of water. Salt Life is our favorite but fresh water is our go to. For your visions to come true, and your expectations to be met, you want to hire someone with experience in the marine industry. Someone experienced in hauling oversize vessels and equipment and the knowledge to keep your vessel safe.
Finding someone with those qualities is rare.. you are on the right site!
I am a Licensed 100ton USCG Master Captain, a United States ARMY Veteran Combat Diver, and a Licensed Salvage / Recovery Diver.
My transportation company has taught me many things over the last 15 years. I have hauled heavy oversized equipment, oversize and over height portable buildings, and a massive amount of oversize / over height cruisers and houseboats. I was trained and gained knowledge of the marine transportation world working side-by-side with one of the leading houseboats industry transporters, Cory Atchison (Owner of Southern Lakes Marine). Once I met his expectations, he sold my wife and I his houseboat transportation equipment and
Marine Operations Specialists was born.

Thank you in advance,
Capt. Kipp & Angela
One of our biggest features is the ability to remove and re-install all items from the topside of your vessel. We are very detailed down to each wire, making sure everything is labeled for re-installation. Flybridge wiring harnesses can be a nightmare but we make sure it is done the right way. Party tops, (soft tops and hard tops) are lifted off and transported in our custom designed vehicle so that there is no risk of damage to the fiberglass and materials. Bars and countertops are transported on air ride suspension so even granite tops never get a crack in the surface. We can remove full enclosure aft cabins, full enclosure flybridges, arches, radars and all electronics including sound systems. We will remove and re-install everything just the way we found it while making it our goal to install it better than it was before. Communication and attention to detail is a key feature in making sure you get what you want!
Our largest vessel we are able to transport is 110' long and 21' wide.
We ensure everything on the inside and outside of your vessel is secured to make the trip. We secure all lighting fixtures, refrigerators', anything glass, pictures, tv's, and the list goes on. All canvas is removed so that there is no damage in transport. We do ask that you take the time and secure all dishes and items that are fragile prior to us arriving. Lets not forget that food in the freezer and refrigerator will be without power for X-amount of time so make preparation please! Marine Operations Specialist is licensed and fully insured up to $250,000 in cargo insurance. Any vessel exceeding that amount, additional insurance is available to cover vessels up to $3,500,000.
You can be a certificate holder if needed on our policy for your comfort and piece of mind.
All surfaces are properly cleaned, old caulking and adhesives are removed, and preparations are made for re-installation. As seen in the picture above, using the correct caulking makes the difference for a clean joining of items so you don't end up with leaks in unwanted places. Moving blankets are placed to keep your flooring surfaces from receiving stains.
Some items due to maybe the size and or weight must be transported separately. This also means that another unit may be needed with permits. Glass windshields are covered for protection against road debris.
Any vessel that is coming out or going into salt water, you must hire a marina with a Travel Lift. I apologize for the inconvenience but salt water does too much damage on our trailers.
In your homework of looking for your new destination if it pertains to salt water, check with the marina's in the area to make sure their equipment is capable of handling the size and weight of your vessel.
There are so many marina's that require appointments for loading and unloading of your vessel. There are times that appointment windows are needed just to be there to use their launch ramps. Communication is key in getting you underway, but you must be prepared for the unexpected when dealing with marina's. In my experiences, marina's do not want us loading or launching over weekends and holidays. In most cases, we are told to be out on Fridays by noon due to the size of vessels being transported.
We here at Marine Operations Specialist do more than transport your vessel, we have many Diving services that can be preformed. Some popular and routine services are removal of objects that have been wrapped around your prop, hull inspections, or even a simple bottom cleaning. If your vessel has a leak in the hull, it may be an easy fix with starting with a hull inspection. So let us save you the trouble and fee's of pulling it out of the water and help keep you afloat.
A vessel owners worst nightmare is pictured above. We offer recovery services for your incident. If it is all the way submerged, or just partially submerged, we can lift it, remove most all water from the hull, and get you safely on dry land or back at your dock so damages can be assessed. We are willing to deal with most all insurance companies so they can make the process happen quickly with recovery and transportation all in one.
We are available for Service Pulls of your vessel year round. Pulling your vessel from the water for marine mechanics to service, repair, or even replace outdrives and motors is no problem. Once complete, a simple re-launch and you are back to enjoying your time on the water. During the winter months for those of you that must winterize, we do offer towing if allowed on your body of water.
Needing to have your vessel in the boat yard or personal storage place? We will pull it, transport, and block it for you. When we are finished, you will feel safe and secure that it won't fall or tumble over. We will level it side to side, and leave the front high so all rain water is able to leave the rear of the vessel. If needed, screw stands are available for rent or purchase.
We offer Licensed USCG Captain For Hire up to 100ton for your vessel. We are fully licensed and insured to get your vessel by water to the destination of your choice. All team members have passports, take random drug tests, and are supervised at all times for the safe movement of your vessel. If you are looking for someone with a trustworthy team to Charter Transit you and your guest, or get your vessel to another location by water, we can accommodate your needs! Give us a call for more details.
